They should have wifi connection

QatarA340,

Thank you for the effort, its good to have a sticky thread like there is for the EY and EK forum. As you said, theqatarsource.com isn't always accurate.

Just a correction though:

A7-ADS, A7-ADT were refurbished a few years ago and have PTVs and connectivity.

A7-ADK was also refurbished and it is in all economy layout.

zehbra Jun 29, 2014 11:23 pm

Superb, thank you QatarA340! I was just looking for such a list yesterday, and was slightly disappointed by theqatarsource because it had no mention of new J in the A332s.

1010101 Jun 30, 2014 2:22 am

HKG is usually served by the refurbished 2 class A330-200.

zat_dude Jun 30, 2014 4:53 am

great work, kudos ^

Thanks,, but aren't some of the classic A320s refitted with PTVs a while back??

Great stuff - thanks QatarA340 ^^^

N1Rotate Jun 30, 2014 11:50 am

QatarA340,

Good to see that its now a sticky post ^

Regarding the older A320s, unless something changed recently, none have been re-fitted. The A321s A7-ADS, T, K and the A319s CJA and CJB were both refitted in ZRH a few years back to the same standard as the newer A320s.

Blueinnyc Jul 1, 2014 11:57 am

According to the press release (from March, I believe), the retrofitted A320s with the lie-flat J seats were supposed to be dispatched on flights to the Maldives. Can anybody confirm if this is indeed the case? I am flying JFK-DOH-MLE this Fall in J class and am hoping for the new seats since it is an overnight flight. Thanks for the info!

N1Rotate Jul 1, 2014 12:24 pm

Blueinnyc,

Yes it is the case currently, most of the MLE flights are operated with the full flat J equipped A320s.

in2it54 Jul 2, 2014 3:00 am

Uggg, does anyone have any clout with QR ?
I just checked my upcoming flight, QR1349 DOH to DAR/JRO, 6th July.

On that day, I reckon the alphabet should start at P (re the the last letter of the A320 callsign).
5:30 hours at 150 degrees for a 01:55am departure.

crusing777 Jul 3, 2014 7:46 pm

Does anyone have any pictures of the refurbished a330 economy seats?

ambrogz Jul 9, 2014 4:26 pm

first class on 340

do you know if first class on 340 will be ever renovated?

we are going to fly CGG DOH CDG (6/18 OCT) and i m not impressed by the old first class seats that look like aeroflot in 80s

I don't believe so, no. The A340s will be refurbished eventually as two-class (Y and J) layout. The end plan is that the A380s will be the only QR aircrafts to operate a full first class cabin and service (not including the regional routes where J seats are sold as F).

NH2176 Aug 4, 2014 7:35 am

It seems that A7-ACC has not refurbished yet, since this craft keeps flying at least since July.

abhi16 Sep 1, 2014 9:06 pm

Hey QatarA340,

Nice work on compiling a list of aircraft.

Although, I'm pretty sure I've seen a video in which A7-ADV had PTVs in both classes. If you search "qatar airways a321 voja2000", there's a video of the aircraft interior.

Thanks!

N1Rotate Oct 16, 2014 7:08 am

With A7-ACC now off to refurb , there will be no more 3-class A330-200 and no more A330s with the smaller PTV and fixed in arm rest remote.

abhi16,

I believe the person who did that video recorded the wrong registration as I flew on ADV several times around the time of the video and it didn't have PTVs, that could have changed recently but I doubt it.

Phuket route

Do you know which version usually flies from Phuket?

Do we know when F will be removed from the A346s? I'm hesitant about booking old F on CDG-DOH in September '15 if it's going to be removed.

Phuket is served nonstop with an A330; the older kind so far.

No one knows when; QR flies the A380 to Paris so why dont you book the A380?

Because I'm trying to use USDM to book and QR pulled all award availability on the A380 for the dates I'm trying.:)

dannybkk Oct 31, 2014 11:46 pm

Does anybody know if the Qatar Airways flight QR123 from DOH to MXP on A330-200 is a refurbished business class? I know their website said they will finish refurbished some A330-200 by 3rd quarter of 2014. I will be flying from DOH to MXP in March 2015.

Thanks.

Has QR published a schedule for when they plan to (or will they even) retrofit the remaining 320s with the new J seats? We're looking at DOH-DAR-JRO and NBO-DOH in July 2015; was wondering if there's any chance the new seats could be on those routes by then.

Thanks in advance

hotlanta777777 Dec 23, 2014 9:33 pm

I have the same question. Any update on when the old A330-300s on not so popular routes are getting updated? I'm looking at Clark-Doha route. Thanks.

777-200 versus 777-300 Business Class

I'm planning to fly from the US to DOH in 6 weeks time likely from DFW. From DFW QR uses 777-200L while from JFK and ORD they use 777-300.

Is there any difference in the business class seats on these two versions. The info above suggests that their both 180 lie flat seats. On the QR site it says 180 for 777-300 and 177 for 777-200 - this seems strange but it has me thinking about sloping seats. Maybe 3degrees is negligible but I hate sloping seats.

Would appreciate advice.

Thanks

Both planes are completely flat horizontal. The seats are very spacious with a huge pitch.

Does the aircraft serving DOH-CRK already have onboard wifi and refurbished J seats?

I suggest you READ the thread http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/qatar...ha-london.html where the question of refurbished cabins is discussed.
You have posted questions in the above thread but obviously not read it.

Thank you. I failed to read the 1st page.

Does QR's 333 and 388s have USB charging ports in all their J seats?

It's been a long time since I met a J seat with usb charging

The 388s (and 788s, 359s) do have USB charging and power sockets. Not sure about the 333.

Same question regarding NBO-DOH in early 2016 - does anyone know how many A320s will be refurbished by the end of the year? Have they refurbished any additional ones since the first post was last updated in July?

Edited to add: This article from last year indicates that only 9 A320s will be refitted, so not sure if they are planning to upgrade any of the remaining 22 aircraft or if they just wanted those 9 for longer/higher premium/overnight routes.

iztok Mar 22, 2015 3:54 pm

How does one check what equipment flies between DOH and ZAG? It says 320 but which of the 3 versions?
