OZ F or QR C With miles

I have a current miles trip on HKG-IAH as Follows:

HKG-BKK in TG F
BKK-ICN In OZ C
ICN-ORD in OZ F
ORD -IAH in UA F/C

I hate to give up the TG F and the OZ F, but would anybody go for the 1 stop HKG-DOH, DOH-IAH in QR C. The arrival times at IAH are not that much different. I am interested in the DOH premium lounge and QR in general. However, I love OZ and TG F service. Comments?

Since you've already flown OZ F, I would probably save the miles and go with QR simply because the partnership is ending. QR does an outstanding job with their J class (PJs, quality booze, excellent meal service) and the DOH Premium Terminal is well worth the additional miles flown.

Miles are not a problem. I am just looking for the best flying experience. I have done OZ in F and it is top notch, but I have never done C in QR and you are right, miles end soon.

If you wanna try a new airline, fly QR.
Personally, I prefer to stick with a proven airline like OZ F.

Good comment. We are always looking for something new, but sometimes the old is the best. OZ is great. I am simply interested in traveling on another airline that lands the long haul in my city (IAH). I am going over on SQ, which also originates and returns to IAH.

I would go for HKG-DOH-IAH just to avoid 3 connections on your original itinerary and transfer in ORD from Intl to domestic.

Home much value do you put in.avoiding a domestic FC segment at the tail end of a long trip? That would have been the tie breaker ( in favor of QR) in my case.
