Qf31 3sep09

Have posted some of this previously with no answers...me thinks the wrong thread perhaps)
I am wondering about the loads on this flight SIN-LHR...EF shows today as follows(although this has changed from all 0's recently)
R2 F2 A0 J0 C0 D0 I0 W0 T0 B0 H0 K0 M0 L0 VC SC NC QC OC XC E0
Seat map does not seem to back this up, I think I have read this only shows allocated seats up to certain %???
QF online not selling any class yesterday.
I am trying to assess(guess) the chances of requested J-F upgrade on this my 1st 380flight, I am guessing whilstever there are R or F avails for sale then maybe??? but the seat maps have confused me.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Gut feeling says you'll be in the ticketted cabin. BUT, an upgrade to F may be available at the last minute and I'm sure QF would be pleased to move people up as Y and J appear very very full. If they move people up with points rather than op-ups - the better for QF.

The flight anat0l & I flew SYD-SIN a couple of months ago looked like this - we were both successful. YMMV

Now showing:
R2 F2 A1 J8 C7 D5 I1 W0 T0 B0 H0 K0 M0 L0 VC SC NC QC OC XC E0

Could be a very full flight. Or maybe QF are thinking about having to plan an A380->747 substitution?

Thanks to all, I'll cross the fingers and toes......certainly hope it doesn't sub to a 744.

AnonymousCoward I checked EF again for 3SEP just moments ago, returned:
R1 F1 A0 J0 C0 D0 I0 W0 T0 B0 H0 K0 M0 L0 VC SC NC QC OC XC E0 ....think you may have checked SYD-SIN rather than SIN-LHR
I'll let you know how it goes....

SIN-LHR is showing blanked out across all cabins except First with 1 spare. It is looking like it is also oversold.

.
Know showing R1 F1, you'd better hurry if you want to still book a seat on the flight

Sorry to bring this up again, however this morning the avails changed dramatically from the way it has looked for some weeks.
Late yesterday showed;
R0 F0 A0 J0 C0 D0 I0 W1 T0 B0 H0 K0 M0 L0 VC SC NC QC OC XC E0

This morning as follows:
R0 F0 A0 J9 C7 D5 I1 W1 T0 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 V9 S9 N9 Q9 O9 X9 E9

Does anyone have any ideas on what may have happened overnight to have so many seats available for sale again?

Either way I guess it is not helping the chances of a J/F upgrade....but it does seem quite strange

I think that Revenue Management has been playing. I have a couple of Y+ flights I have been following (hoping Y gets oversold)

HKG-SYD 26 Oct QF128 now shows Y9 B9 K9 M5 remainder 0 in economy
I seem to recall even the higher economy classes with lower numbers before I got the Y+ seat (T class on sale till 29 Aug - cheaper than Y flex) Still showing W9.

SIN-LHR 06 Oct QF31 - have been following off and on since the LONE4 was booked during the earlier sale period. The Y+ cabin never did have a lot of T class seats. About three weeks ago availability became W5T0 with T2 reappearing a few days later - whereupon I upgraded. A week later a call to the QF call center indicated they were unable to assign a seat at that time. Y and J are relatively unsold D6I4 S9Q9 QF9 is wide open on the same day.

What does it mean?
HKG-SYD QF is only offering higher class Y seats hoping to coerce sales of Y+/J at higher prices (or routing via MEL - wrong time for me).
SIN-LHR suggests the A388 needs a larger Y+ section. I'd suggest more people are interested in the extra space and the slightly later arrival time - especially if friends/relatives need to pick the pax up.

I'm probably wrong.........
