QF5/6 A330/B744 Split

Seems that yesterday and for a few days next week A330-300s are
being used on the SYD-SIN-SYD portions of QF5/6 with 747-400s
operating FRA-SIN-FRA.

Temporary arrangement due to maintenance and OJK being offline
or a new permanent schedule?

Probably temporary, methinks - as you say, VH-OJK is down and out for the moment, and this is supposed to be a through-flight, so probably the best way to work it, given that some of the SLC on QF5/6 transfer at SIN to/from other services, a smaller aircraft should be fine on SYD-SIN-SYD

Is QF 5/6 normally operated by a 2 or 3 class 744?

FRA is usually a 2 class aircraft.

It is because of OJK in MNL. QF005/006 is scheduled as a 2 class operation.

My experience is:

QF5/6 is still affected by QF Engeneering strike. I have recently been on a flight to FRA that was deleyed by 16 hours (scheduled departure time from SIN 23.20, flight left at 15.20 on the following day). I think, I was the only 'revenue' passenger (hope to keep Platinum card, I have not accepted rebooking onto SQ nor AF), all other 5 or 6 passengers on the upper deck were QF employees (judging by the F/A performance).

So the fact, that they will make equipment change in SIN is a POSITIVE info. I guess, this will improve the on-time performance
