Nice job, Oz. I wish I had a chance for the Skybed but it's not to be. QF26 on Feb 10 in Row 11 and QF11 on Mar 1 in Row 23. I like bulkheads, too. That assumes I can't get Row 16 upstairs. I'll try, though. Anyway, are the bulkhead Skybed monitors any smaller than the seatback versions?</font>
The bulhead seats have the same size screen as all the other seats. 12 inches I think. You can see though from the photo how much space the bulkheasds have - a full three windows, which is the same as first class.

Another point I missed off my original post was about the lighting system. I've seen something about this being announced - it works really well. They change the colour of the lighting of the cabin from full white to pink (a little less brighter), to a deep blue (quite dark), to off. Depsnds on the stage of the flight which one they use - they seemed to use the full white only for take off, then pink for the food service (and people can use their own lights if they want), then blue for about two hours after that (while most people are awake), then lights off.

Thanks to Luke Chittock for this latest update.

Skybed Update 11 December

The current Skybed program is being adversely affected by the ongoing
unplanned maintenance work on VH-OED.

The first aircraft (VH OJL) with the new Skybed product in Business is now
operating 2 pw QF1/2 (SYD/BKK/LHR and vv) plus 1 pw QF127/128 (SYD/HKG and
vv). The introduction of the second aircraft (VH OJS) slipped but commenced
a further 2 pw QF1/2 services from 04 December. The third aircraft (VH OJM)
has also slipped and is now tentatively due to commence operations on 20
December with a further 2 pw QF1/2 services and 1 pw QF127/128.

The 4th aircraft is due to commence on 28 January and the 5th on 06 February

I would go for 23D over 34D. But I am only 175cm tall. Some taller people have stated they find the bulkhead row has less legroom, which is not something I have noticed personally. The bulkhead is the perfect distance away for me to place my briefcase on the floor and use it as a higher footrest than the Dreamtime seat offers.

But for Skybeds, its a bit early for me to tell. But really, there is not going to be much difference. To me the main difference is the ability to use my briefcase footrest and nobody reclining into me, but the skybeds overcome that advantage!

Yes, you are further from Y. You are also close to the food, but not your food. The J galley is behind the second doors (ie behind row 27 or 26 depending on dreamtime or skybeds).
