Now how does everyone feel of this stupid 'service' fee they are imposing?

I refused to join their frequent flyer program even though I live in Australia and recently flew Qantas to Hong Kong.

As posted elsewhere I found Swissair to be a better frequent flyer program. The benefits are a little less flexible but I can accrue and redeem flights on/for Qantas, I get full miles even in discount economy and I don't have to pay a joining or annual fee.

cheers Peter

Agree with pberrett ... I am a QF FFlyer, but only fly with them eventualy (as I prefer AN in Australia). The same for my wife. As we joined in 98, they are not going to charge our 'bi-annual fee' for the first 2 years.

Actually , they won't need to, after 2 years, because I'll pile me Oneworld points with AAirlines !
