Firstly, compliments of the season to you all, I trust the festivities were eventful and those of you here in Perth had access to airconditioning and a pool!

I have a question in relation to a trip we are taking Sunday flying to Brisvegas via Sydney

1) At the quickcheck, will we have the option to book the seats SYD - BNE in addition to the first leg and have baggage checked through? If not, how does this happen now?

2) Trying to get my lovely wife the Window seat on all 3 legs - the option to request this under special requests on the manage your booking kindly rejects me at all turns. Is there a way around my dilema? Most important on the trip home from BNE flying J on a 767 and a bride not at all keen on the centre seating!

1) Yes, The quick-check will allow you normal seat selection for both flights and supply the BPs for your through route. You then need to take your bags to the bag drop counters where they will be tagged through.

2) I would call Qantas and ask for your seating requests to be manually inserted. Do this ASAP.

I will have a crack at Qantas and hope for the best. Will be a long flight with a grumpy wife!

There is always online check-in as well so you don't even need to use the machines at the airport. This way you can get your seats a bit quicker .
