Booking Codes
Hi all
I'm travelling to Australia later in the year. I'm getting there via an AA/QF codeshare (so as to ensure that I get 100% of the miles added to my AA account). However, while I'm there I want to take at least one Qantas domestic flight to take advantage of AA's current AAdvantage OneWorld promotion.
The promotion stipulates that to qualify, the fare must be booked in A, B, D, F, H, I, J, K, M, P, or Y. I've figured out based on a few searches here that M class is one of the classes used for QF's Super Saver fares; the only glitch being that they also use four other classes, none of which qualify for the AA bonus program. In the Flexi Saver category there are two booking codes, only one of which qualifies for the promotion.
This would all be well and good if I could figure out what fare I'm buying when I go onto the Qantas website but when I try to book a ticket all I can find are the plain-english fare rules listed for each type of fare, and not exactly which code the Super Saver or Flexi Saver fare would be booked into. Does anyone know how to do this?
My apologies if this question has been asked before but I couldn't find this exact question on any other searches. Thanks in advance for your help.

You seem to be based in the US?
Suggest you use AA to book your flights. Will save on the GST component, and believe their website has good indication of the fare classes involved.
Failing that, suggest you call AA and book direct through them. Indicate which classes you would like.
You will still save money over what you would pay on the Qantas site and won't incur a credit card conversion fee for paying in $AUD.
The Qantas site hides away the booking classes until after you've booked... Very handy for those on other FF Schemes!
If you have other tools available such as Expertflyer, then you should be able to make an educated guess as to the fare class from the $ amount.
