2 or 3 weeks ago they had AKL/ZQN for around the same dates, but NZ$69.

I'm awaiting one for the 9th November. Still showing 9's for N/O/Q(&X) on my targeted flight however. ^

Would anyone like to speculate which South American country QF will fly to as per their recent announcement?

Ummm....did not QF announce that they were going to fly to Santiago (well the captial of Chile Santiago) during their profit announcement?
Of course we can still guess if this is true....

Sorry, I missed that. All I could see was that South America was back on the cards. Their last foray into SA was to BA and that didn't seem to work too well for them eventually going to code share with Aerolineus Argentinas.

It's interesting that they are taking on LA directly, especially as they are a OW partner. Maybe they are unhappy with the arrangement as it is.

Or maybe they just see it as a growth area. LA has gone from what 3 a week to 6 currently (and daily later this year).

The QF service SYD-EZE-SYD was also code shared with AR. My one flight on that route was absolutely full in all cabins both ways. Based on these two flights, I cannot possibly see how QF had any problems at all with it .. .

When did QF leave?
Was it after the SA meltdown that predated the Asian crisis?
I do not think that QF will be daily at the start as the 747-400 (2 class?) is a large jump in capacity for that route, even though it is hard and expensive to get seats to SA.
I just hope that LA do not get rid of the AKL-SYD service, that would be tragic for me.

I do not see any of the ones you mentioned additionally QF do not offer CHC-WLG anymore, including connecting through AKL, via the internet.

My 500th post!
