Busy Signal At Qantas U.S. Callcenter?
I've been trying to call QF to get a seat asignmnet on a flight. For the past hour I have been trying the number listed on the website as the U.S. call center number (800-227-4500) only to get a busy signal.
Anyone else had this problem?

Back up and running now.
Anyone else notice that automated female voice who answers the phone sounds like she has a head cold?

At least one US telco was experiencing "congestion" on international circuits this morning. Could not place an international call out from USA an dwas unable to dial USA from Australia (using an Australian 1800 number for an international conference call bridge).
So if the QF call centre was re-routing calls to Australia for any reason, they may have been hit by this carrier problem.
