There's also a First Cabin property in HND T1 Domestic JAL terminal.
The rates are lower than Royal Park landside.
First Cabin is akin to capsule except the beds don't stack i.e. you have your own bedspace all the way to the ceiling.
Showers and toilets are shared, but very clean.
You will have to take a transfer bus there and back but the buses are very frequent - 10 min between headways.

The biggest problem landing in Japan is you need three vaccinations - if you already have it, it's no problem.

does anyone know if QF IT system is hardcoded to forbid interlining luggage when on separate ticket ?
and therefore , when interlining luggage on award + rev, a system overwrite is required that only a select few individuals know ?
either that, or QF agents including supervisors are very poorly trained

QF system is very easy when it is QF/QF for them either link bookings between parties - even when different fare classes, and also to link flights on separate bookings. This is just some clicks on the screen, that anyone with access to the QF terminal (e.g. lounge agent) can do. So there is some logic to the above, that IT and training has focused on the most likely QF to QF aspects and made "simple" internal solutions.

they are willing to do it, in fact , didnt even bother checking for the award+rev requirements for through check, but claimed they couldnt bc of IT issue.
the only obstacle I can think of is that both segments are issued by AS and as a newly minted OW member (well, not really, it has been 2.5 years) , maybe there are some backend IT compatibility issues that exist with AS but not with other OW airline
