Any way to tell if Qantas A380 will be one of the refurbed ones?

Nope, even if you knew the rotation schedule it often changes even on the day of the flight. Not sure how many refurbished A380 will be flying in November. You can always pick a 787 flight if the refurb matters to you.

At the moment, the single aircraft VH-OQK is doing QF11/12 and 1/2 rotations SYD-LHR and SYD-LAX and vv but this could change anytime.
By November possibly a 2nd aircraft.
At the moment it appears that seatmaps are being altered about 7 days out, but always subject to last minute change.

FWIW the new seat map is showing on QF11 SYD-LAX followed by QF94 LAX-MEL next Wednesday, October 30. Notable as this likely marks the first appearance of a refurb'd bird in MEL, assuming this aircraft rotation holds.
EDIT: -OQL seems to be showing a refurb seatmap (scheduled to operate QF7 SYD-DFW on Friday, October 25) as well. Corrected my statement above to reference "a" refurb'd bird instead of "the" refurb'd bird.

OQL only spent 3 weeks in Dresden and seemingly didn't get refurbed. OQH which is there now is expected to be refurbed.
OQK is actually operating Fri 25ths QF7 per FlightAware, FR24 has some spurious data for QF7 (OQL operated Qf7 on 24th)

Headed to Oz in a few days in QF F. Has the second plane come out of refurb yet? Looks like tomorrow’s QF12 is getting the new layout, but doubt it would make it back to LAX for the flight in time unless it goes to MEL looking at common routings.

No. Second aircraft VH-OQH went to Dresden on 22-Oct.
Expected to take at least 4-5 weeks.
Likely then no more refurbs until Feb, as QF International typically runs its summer schedule due to Australian school holidays.

Appears that OQJ has been refurbed in AUH, and is now flying back to SYD. Will operate QF11 SYD-LAX on 12/12.
OQH also expected out of DRS any day.
So will be a 25% chance (3 of 12) of getting a refurb over the remainder of December/January.
