Aircraft and booking class downgrade ADL-PER

My ADL-PER flight in business in August has just been changed from a 737 to an economy only 717. The booking was made using BA miles.

Is this a broader shift away to Qantaslink flights from ADL?
What compensation should I expect from Qantas and/or BA? Anybody got experience from similar cases?

I think that you can expect to get a refund in mileage cost for Business to Economy from BA if you contact it and ask

As booked with BA avios talk to BAEC. Would expect you will get the difference in Avois refunded.
Or ask BAEC to be placed on a flight that has business class. Looking at the timetable the earlier flights are on a B737. Only the late afternoon flight is a B717

While seemingly not applicable to this route, many of the QF 717s do have business class..

Eight are all-Y and 12 are mixed-cabin.

The OP posted this question on AusBT - they contacted BA who shifted them to one of the 737 flights on the day.
