Accessing the British Airways lounge in Dubai while on QF

The title says it all.

Has anyone gained access to the new British Airways lounge in Dubai while transferring at Dubai?

Not the old one - the new BA lounge DXB at the D gates.

And here is the snag - my (EK) plane should land at the A gates, and my (QF) plane departs from the A gates to LHR.

So looking at the map I'll have to take the train to B gates, walk through the tunnel to C, and then take the bus to D gates. And back.

Is it a ten minute journey, or a half hour slog?

In J class, QF ticketed, QF metal, so no problems with oneworld access rules.

It's one of the few I haven't ticked off my list yet, and I wanted to see what the new lounge is like. It seems quite decent:

So was going to stretch my legs, and pop into BA.
I have nearly 4 hours to kill at DXB.

It's quite a hike but with 4 hours you should have enough time. Check out how long it takes you to get there as a guide for how long to allow for coming back, plus add a buffer in case of issues.

Been there when taking a BA flight to LHR - not very exciting. It's much smaller then the pictures make out to be and with limited food options. Ended up going to the skyteam lounge with priority pass to take a shower.
