Eligible Qantas Segments (EK?)
I am sure this questions has been asked before but cannot seem to find it in the forum.
Do EK flights book through the Qantas website count as eligible segments?
I.e. I am currently LHR based and trying to find the cheapest possible way to hit the minimum 4 segments to maintain Gold.
Thanks

No.
Your travel in each membership year must include at least four eligible flight segments on Qantas, QantasLink or Jetstar Airlines (with that airline's flight number on your ticket). 14 once you achieve Silver, Gold or Platinum status, you will keep that status for at least 12 months.

IF a QF flight number on EK metal in an eligible fare bucket then yes.
That is Qantas "Marketed" - the Qantas Airline flight code in on the ticket.

You'll also earn Status Credits on many Emirates flights, as long as you have a Qantas (QF) flight number on your ticket.

I guess in relation to the OP they may be hoping the booking portal will bestow some SC's and/or ~'s for EK flight numbers booked on Qantas.com.
It definitely needs to be a QF flight number to earn ~'s when on EK metal.

There are a few BA codeshares left, but most of them book into expensive fare classes. TXL-LHR-DXB is an example.
it may be cheaper to spend a weekend in SIN and get some Jetstar Segments. Be aware to select the SC earning bundles.

2 QF flight numbers out = 2~
2 QF flight numbers back = 2~ (QF????? & QF1 as a guess)
What traps people is LHR-(DXB)-SYD on QF2 is 1 segment = 1~. Even though the aircraft stops in DXB people buy as LHR-SYD (1 segment)

Yes Mwenenzi, I have made the QF9 & QF10 mistake before last year and had to quickly plan a DXB weekend trip.
Based on the answers above being correct my options are:
£358 x 2 - LHR - DXB return
£499 - LHR - BKK return
£508 - LHR - SIN return
£436 - ABZ (Aberdeen) - DXB return
Whilst browsing the QF website it appears you can code share to Phuket, Chaing Mai, Phuket, Krabi and various other Thai cities with a connection on Bangkok Airways with a QF code.
Alternatively the next error fare to Asia and pick up some return JQ flights between cities.
Thanks for everyones help.

Alright discovered whilst browsing Skyscanner that I could book the following:
LGA - DFW (QF4396) Operated by AA
DFW - BOS (QF4519) Operated by AA
This is only bookable through TravelUp and not any other OTA, the fair is slightly more but I will be flying this itinerary anyway so would be worth it.
Any idea if this will earn SC and will qualify as one of the 4 QF segments.

Yes, as per most posts in this thread, if booked in an eligible fare bucket on a QF Flight number* then QFF points and SC's are earned as well as the ' ~ ' for each segment.

Qantas Points and Status Credits are earned on all eligible booking classes.

However I suspect it will not be able to be ticketed as QF do not have rights to sell USA domestic flights.
Usually these type of codeshares are tag on to a QF Australia flight
