The biggest benefit at the moment is being able to skip the call centre queues... sometimes up to two hours these days. If you are silver or above you get the offer of a 'call back' in most cases.

The real advantages are on other airlines... free exit rows and bulkhead seats on Cathay Pacific and Dragonair, free bag on American Airlines, 7-day advance seating (for free) on British Airways, priority boarding in the USA.

The annual single lounge pass is a nice benefit, although as Lifetime Silver I rarely use it because of the benefits on other airlines.
