Split Fare first and business

I was wondering does Qantas have the ability to have different fare classes on a return trip?
My query is if I could go first over and business return? This would be to London

Regards and thanks

Except if specific fares have rules that prohibit such merging, then yes

You may need to book by phone or through a travel agent

Also QF rarely offers any special deals for this (unlike BA which often has deals such as pay J both legs and fly F one leg ... in fact have that currently via HKG for example at lower price than QF in J).

Thanks Dave
6 thank you, I remember seeing that deal with Qantas last year. Was hoping it would be a special now. Sadly nope. Now actually seeing whether status credit wise I am better off doing the London trip in first

Sometimes if you search the QF site for business you will find a "first Sale" column in addition to the business options, you can book mixed that way if your dates allow it.

In my experience even if the QF website displays both business and first class options it will not actually let you select first one way and business the other. There is logic in the website booking engine that greys out the class for the return flights that is opposite the class selected for the outbound flights.

I've seen it do that but I was able to select Business Saver and First Sale today and continue to payment page. May not do it for all dates/routes but it certainly does sometimes.

Worth checking, entering the lower class in the search.

I use the site firstclass.com.au for fare specials. Often they show combined class specials.
