I know it was many years ago.... I flew at least 150k miles per year back in those days. I think they might have been giving these out for reaching 50k miles or 100k miles in a year? I personally received at least 4 or 5 of these carry-on cases. Still have two left... pretty decent quality...I still routinely use one for daytrips while another one is still in original box, never used.

Early to Mid 90's - all those of Silver status got them.
I was Silver in 1996 and received a slightly later version. Still have it.
Back then, the tiers were White (NB), Blue (~PS), Silver (~SG, but no lounge access) & Gold (>WP).
