Random: had parcel arrive by surprise. QF sent me their box set of books supposedly timed for those that can read at warp speed on various flights. a "value" of $155 for my P1 loyalty.

I see QF assumes everyone reads at the same speed by pairing books to flights

With the audio read by Alan Joyce?
seems from reading AFF that most (all?) P1's got this thing. I can't help thinking that there was not much demand for the paid product and are giving them away as a kind of way to mitigate the loss? (yeah I'm cynical). Would have cost an arm and a leg in postage though. I got chided a bit by the person at the post office when I went to pick it up (and I had no idea what it was I was getting, or even that it was from QF - indeed the box was marked "Wishlist Appliance Store"?? sheesh.
