Hong Kong International Business Lounge

Just checked out the new International Business Lounge in Hong Kong last weekend and it was beautiful.

Has anyone seen it yet?

Technically it's not branded as an International Business lounge - it's one of the new concept joint F/J lounges, so its proper name is The Qantas Hong Kong Lounge like The Qantas Singapore Lounge

Mr Hancock, my employer, was there on opening night, I believe it was 28th March, and surprisingly found the lounge not as unpleasant as he expected. Although he did comment that it will not be diverting him from The Wing F Lounge in the future.

Will be trying it out on 5th May, but the Wing F is hard to beat.

I have a 2.5 hour transit tomorrow night in HKG. I'm tempted to try the new QF lounge briefly before heading to The Wing. I am curious for sure - it does look nice

When I entered the HKG lounge a few weeks ago, travelling J, I was asked at the desk whether I wanted to use the "turn down service" which means I would eat in the lounge, and then sleep straight away on board. I said yes.

When I boarded, the FA told me that she had been informed of my turn down request and confirmed if that was correct.

Just wanted to let you all know of this new service enhancement at HKG.

How is this vs. CX's Wing J lounge? For me, I'm particularly interested in hearing about breakfast and shower comparisons.

QF's food offerings are better.

But note that the QF lounge isn't open till 9.30am.

I'll be on the 1:30pm AA flight to DFW. Sounds like shower/snack/hang out in The Wing, then quick hop to QF for brunch offerings before boarding my flight. Does that sound like a reasonable plan?

I wish i knew about this earlier. AA people were sending me to the Plaza Premium Lounge. Then again this lounge is a train ride away from the gate AA uses so that's probably why.

I haven't been there at breakfast time.

Assuming the Wing J showers are the same as the F showers, which are the only ones I have tried, I would shower in the Wing. The cubicle size and amenities are similar, but I found the ventilation in the QF lounge showers to be poor, so it got too steamy.
