How good is the 380 J class bed?

I hope I'm in the right section - flying 24 hours on Qantas J class 380 flat bed. Usually fly Y, so naturally with a neck pillow. Do I need it in J? Is the flat bed & pillow all I need to (try to) sleep?
Thank you

If you usually fly Y, the QF seat will seem great. They will provide a pillow, blanket and sleep suit. You should have a good flight.

This is better asked on the QF forum, where it will be sent shortly.

Enjoy.

I have found it very comfortable - no extras required, though that is probably a personal thing.

I don't know if they differ by airline, I suspect they do, but the Emirates A380 bed was the only one I've ever been able to sleep on. It was very nice.

You can do a search for Qantas A380 J class, but they have a nice product. It is fully flat and quite comfrotable to sleep in. You will get a pillow, blankets and even PJs to change into for sleeping. Business class is on the upper deck of the A380 and you will have separate boarding from the lower deck passengers.

katie10, any question specific to one airline's service is best posted in that dedicated airline's forum, where there is one; or, if not a dedicated forum, in the apt regional airline forum. I'll gladly move this to the Qantas forum for more discussion. Ocn Vw 1K, Moderator, TravelBuzz.

Hi katie10, as others have mentioned you'll sleep fine and will not need your neck pillow.

My suggestion, choose a seat in the middle section so that the person next to you doesn't have to step over you nor would you have to step over them if you were next to the window.

Otherwise, enjoy.

Its pretty weak though, never really did much for my back.

That said, Love the QF J seats, and flying top deck of the A380 makes you feel like your on an all J airline.

A cabin bag or shoes strategically placed under the foot rest will stop that "droopy bed syndrome" - ie if the bed is banana shaped from heavy weights bending the bottom of the bed down from horizontal

Not on the A380, AIUI - front rows 11 and 15/16 are both bulkhead rows.
