Something interesting yet a bit confusing about QF "claim missing points"
When I was filling details for my missing credits/miles for previous flights, I had found something interesting yet confusing.
Unlike other airlines, you only need to provide details like name, airline code, flight number, travel date, from where and to where and no seat number or ticket number is required.
Also, claims can be made for travel up to 30 days before enrollment date.
Here I am just thinking what about there are two Mr John Smith on the same flight and the same same day, one in business and another in coach and both of them have only enrolled after the flight. Won't there be any confusion when either one makes a claim afterwards?
This is probably a bit hypothetical, but I feel that it is interesting to raise it here!

In the three times I have filed missing points claims that were rejected, I never received a call or email to question or seek clarification. I ended up phoning back each time after a couple of months when there was no indication on my FF statement of action (or inaction).

I look after my son's account for him because he misplaced his member card some time ago. He travels a lot for work on Qantaslink and I have probably claimed 20 times in last year and never asked foe seat or ticket number. The online form does not ask. Never a problem. Made a request this morning for last Monday and it has already posted.
