Had exactly the same issue. Sounds like QF's systems are down.
It's a bit like the flakey (Telstra) internet in the lounges the last couple of days where internet appeared to be down nationally.

This happened to me on Saturday...tried multiple times with the result described above; then when I got to the airport and checked in normally, the agent said to me "but you have already checked in online"! Go figure...

Looks like QF is having IT problems ... there are several errors for past/future flights on my account today, presumably it will be fixed soon. Also a flight taken at Christmas has yet to credit to QFF -- rare to take more than a week. But I recall similar problems last Jan 1, maybe this is QF's version of their own Y2K problem, get screwed up every year end.

IMO the site has been a bit flaky on and off since early Dec.
