Qantas to launch new domestic business class next week
http://www.ausbt.com.au/qantas-to-la......-this-month
"Qantas will reveal its revamped domestic business class service on next Thursday, November 18th. CEO Alan Joyce will launch the beefed-up business program at a media event being held at the Qantas Business Lounge of Sydney’s domestic airport."
"The press conference will preview the airline’s all-new business-class seating, an overhaul of domestic lounges and other inducements for passengers at the pointy end of the plane."

I hope the seats are improved over the "new" domestic J seats in the 332s. Sure, the tray and AV monitor are nice to use, but the seat comfort is dreadful. You need a few pillows stuffed behind your back to avoid misery.

Hi all. Do fly intra OZ, but since when does QF do it, isn't that why they set up JetStar? Not talking about coming in on Int'l to say Mel or Syd, then last leg on Quantas.
If they actually get this done, would be welcomed. Wanna bet they increase fares 20%?

They are also the only carrier to offer a domestic business class offering, but with the launch of Virgin Blue's domestic business class they are looking to beat them to the punch with a superior offering.

Who says a new business product will mean any changes to seats at all?
Maybe it will be:
- dedicated next generation check-in machine for business & WPs only (counters will be elimanted as per frequent customer feedback)
- New: in flight alcohol will be available from 1100 already (except Sundays)
- new Marc Newson designed "business" sticker on your Australian Way magazine
- All meals now come with extra soy sauce
- complimentary valet parking at OOL airport after your 2nd Business Class flight from there

I was in the SYD Dom J lounge this afternoon (Sunday), and staff said the new look is to be unveiled "tomorrow", with table service for food; and they are looking forward to new uniforms "like the cabin crew".
Hope someone posts when the changes come out, and their impressions!
