Star Class

Thinking about booking a holiday to Bali from PER in Star Class. Is it worth it? Whats the reward over the back of the bus (literally in Deathstars case?)

I think tupekstar is right, there is not Star Class PER-DPS.

But if there were Star Class, then you would get the seat, free baggage, meals, drinks, IFE, J SCs etc. A watered down version of a business class service from years ago.

well there you go! I had no idea, just made the assumption that as this is the only was to get there within the Qantas fleet they may send the good planes accross for the mission!

thanks guys, need to find a way now to convince the wife and mates to find a different holiday destination, been to Bali about 20 times, a chance to do a status run was all I had in favour of going up there again!

Bali is a cheap tourist destination. It's mainly aimed at bargain hunters.

As a result business class and Bali don't really go well together.

V Australia fly there with their 777's but they cannot fill the front of the plane so they offer On Departure Paid Upgrades for around $400.

No starclass services are provided on JQ flights originating from PER, sadly.

The QF website will present route options via South Eastern Australia, for PER-DPS, but oddly displays pricing as Jet Saver & Jet Flex, with no choice for Star Class. Not really a good option anyway, except for long-way-round status runs.

If you are after a premium cabin service from PER-DPS, don’t forget that DJ (flying as Pacific Blue) does offer premium economy on this sector. My recent trip report details - Virgin Blue Premium Economy

No they don't.
V Australia fly to LAX, Fiji, Phuket and Jo'burg. Not Bali.

Virgin Blue (Pacific) or one of those brands do Phuket from Perth. They do not have the legs from BNE or SYD
