Checking Matrix, I'm not seeing this fare anywhere from April or later in 2024.

There was a glitch last weekend with some OTA's and flights to many places from SGN and HAN were highly discounted, similar to this one. Looks like it might be happening again.

If you look at the pricing history on Google Flights you can see the glitch.

EDIT
It is happening again. It is affecting both SGN and HAN and applies to both business and premium economy.

For example, you can fly to London for $1512 roundtrip in business instead of the usual $2700 roundtrip.

Or you can fly to Tokyo for $629 roundtrip instead of the usual $1100.

Are you sure this is actually bookable?

I heavily lean on it's a glitch with Google's currency conversion.

https://www.google.com/travel/flight...7srCs8pJZPMxg6

ANA is showing 74,214,000 VND, which ANA suppose to charge.

Using Visa's currency convertor, I got 2993 USD. Mastercard currency convertor got 2998 USD.

Meanwhile, Google's currency convertor got 1660 USD.

Extremely weird pattern with Google's currency convertor as well.

So this is actually caused by some currency issue. If you look up those fares in ExpertFlyer and set the currency to VND, you'll see some interesting results!

I'll take a $0 base fare to London in Business!

Paying in USD it doesn't look nearly as great!

SGN to HND doesn't look quite as nice at 14858000 VND, but at current currency conversion rates that's a base fare of $332 USD

If you actually pay in USD, you'll end up having to pay $595 USD, so that $332 might not be 0, but it's half of what it should be!

Taxes and fees paid in VND aren't being converted properly either.

I believe it's more to do with Google's currency conversion glitch. OTAs will always reprice because that price is basically made up by Google.

If you pick any other currency convertor, the price are correct.

That make sense! Google exchange rate does look weird.

You guys are amazing! Good detective work and too bad for this fare. The fare is right, Google Flights is wrong. A clue was the price predictor saying the low price is normal for the route!

There does still appear to be some underlying currency conversion issue though.

For example, if you search several airline website they will display the wrong value until you get to the final checkout page.

Here's Malaysia Airlines SGN to LHR - the Flex ticket is cheaper than the Basic ticket, but if you select Flex it'll re-price on the next page.

Flex has re-priced to 57 million VND

I think VND 27467000 is the fare difference between Business Basic and Business Flex instead of Business Flex fare itself.

VND 30066000 + VND 27467000 = VND 57533000

Ah, makes sense! I don't book often with MH.
