AA: LGA to TIJ for $865 and earn 440 TPs
AA has a decent fare from New York to Tijuana, which if you select the proper flights can present a nice earning opportunity for British Airways Executive Club members as it includes two long segments PHL-PHX-BOS which are over 2000 miles and gives 140 TPs which added to the 40 TPs for PHX-TIJ and 40 TPs for LGA-PHL and BOS-LGA give a total of 440 TPs roundtrip. Sadly Avios wise it earns based upon spend so not that attractive.
Just a heads up, this sample might require overnights in Tijuana or Boston. Perhaps some tweaking can give better hours.
Note: Google Flights calls it Typical fare but with the focus on TPs and long segments it gives you a cost of USD 1.96 or £ 1.55 per TP

Folks overnighting at TIJ could stay in San Diego, though Tijuana's food scene is absolutely amazing and nice hotels are mattress run cheap.
