Seems like a good deal for AC in Business class out of YYZ

I don't know how long either, but there are AC/Star Alliance fares to numerous European destinations from YYZ for anywhere between $3200-ish and $3700 through to July 2024. KL/AF has lower fares for many of the same destinations (there is another thread on that one). I am also seeing lots of interesting fares out of other Canadian cities, including my home airport--YQR--which does not often get exciting pricing.

After flying between a lot AF and AC I much prefer AC.
The hard product is better (much better selection of IFE, vents above seats, signature lounge access, seats are more comfortable, better snacks on flights)
The soft product both are similar. Only had 1 weird FA on AC (Flown on 6 round trip trans-ocean flights) With AF none. The main issue I had with AF is the over-crowding in their newest beautiful 2F lounge (Schengen)
Sorry, a bit off topic but my main point is I don't mind the slight premium on AC compared to AF
Different strokes for different folks (price points)

Sure it's a great fare since AC business to Europe is 10k plus for most part. So for 2 pp @ 7k all in in Business will take any day and earn 150% AP points.

Exactly. Hopped on the $2300 fare from YVR last month and thought that was even a little spendy can’t believe $3600 is a good fare these days 😂

Yeah this is an OK fare at best, might help some but certainly not a deal when as other said you see low $2000 Europe runs on AC/LH every once in a while
Wasn't there a good deals thread, this seems like it would be better suited for that....

It's not. Consider SQ has regularly offered $2K from JFK to FRA.
I mean, if this is a mean to earn status points, fine, but most of us would not consider it a good deal

ST is currently offering a sub $3000 CAD (under $2200 USD) fare YYZ-CDG. Including nonstop on AF.

There is a lot more air passenger traffic in the US, so the market is a lot more competitive. Your country does not impose a federal sales, nor do the airports in the US impose multiple layers of fees: https://www.theglobeandmail.com/busi...-airport-fees/.
