I posted this over in the Amex Offers thread, but thought it might be worth posting here as well.
My Platinum Amex had a "Spend $100, get $200 back" offer for AF/KL (exp. 7/31). I also had a $50 coupon code from KL good until July 18, KLM4OFJULY.
My dates were 11/18-24, and I got the last cheap seat on the departure, but there were some other dates available. There were also comparable fares to other destination, such as Berlin, but the available dates differed.

I don't recall looking in the past specifically around Thanksgiving, but I know that AF non-stop J on this route is typically significantly more. Google Flights has a connecting route on this particular trip for $2920 with a five-hour layover in Montreal. Amex IAP was about the same price, but on similar connecting flights with bad connections.
