IB/BA/AA - Open Jaw - USA Cities-GVA / CDG/BUD/FRA/FCO-Canada Cities - $2000 Business
Longterm lurker... first time poster. I hope someone will find a use for this deal as I did.
There was a post about Geneva fare before, but this one makes fare even cheaper by returning to a Canadian city. I think this is basically combining 2 great fares in an Open Jaw to make an even cheaper fare!
Geneva is the only destination that I could get working on outbound. But for the return there is many options CDG/BUD/FRA/FCO to name a few. (I think European cities with cheap taxes)
This deal even works mid-summer for anyone looking for last minute summer trip!
Some good examples:
LAX-GVA / FCO-YVR, $1963: https://www.google.com/travel/flight...gBwzD32ENxw6y7
JFK-GVA / FCO-YYZ, $1963: https://www.google.com/travel/flight...MkUuKVbLkB8GP7
HNL-GVA / AMS-LAX-YVR, $2154: https://www.google.com/travel/flight...u2syhhRpwYmxi7
This works originating from most large cities in the USA. I personally booked one originating in Hawaii. It works from East Coast, West Coast, even Alaska.
The return needs to be to YYZ/YUL/YVR (I think a Canadian British Airways destination), however you can potentially route through the USA and drop the last flight to Canada if you don't need.
Booking with Iberia seems to be the cheapest. But AA/BA is available for extra $100 or so. I initially had some problems booking through AA but I called up Amex Travel and gave them flight numbers and they were able to book for me no problem.

I still see cheap fares in August: https://www.google.com/travel/flight...fM5UWoYBZ5bRd8
Generally you need to travel mid-week to get the cheapest price. You can also try adding certain US city hubs on the return routing before final flight to Canada. YYZ seems to be a lot easier to book in August. I'm seeing less availability to YVR near $2000 then.
