There are a few scattered dates (mostly in August and September) when you can fly from Auckland (AKL) to Rome (FCO) via Sydney and Seoul for 5558 NZD in business. The outbound AKL-SYD flight is operated by Qantas and the inbound SYD-AKL flight is cheapest if operated by LATAM, but for a few hundred NZD more you can get a flight operated by Air New Zealand if you want as much of the trip to be operated by a Star Alliance airline as possible.

I think there is simply varying levels of expertise on this board, which results in different preferences for this sort of thing and miscommunication between members. Unlike the trick it thread, there is no attempt at a minimum bar in this forum.

Take this fare for example (I haven't looked into it so this is a broad generalization). There is a Z fare and a U fare.
To a very experienced reader, this post looks extremely long/extraneous because it could have been something like "AKL-ROM is $x,xxx on OZ. Availability with the cheaper U fare is hard to find, but the Z fare is $xxx more. I could only find NZ with the Z fare. "GF link". Sample dates: ..." Instead the experienced reader has to read between the lines and reverse engineer this info from a series of screenshots and examples.
However, the relatively inexperienced reader would have been more helpless with that sort of post, so these posts may open their eyes to fares that they didn't know about/don't know how to use EF/matrix to find on a whim (which, I agree with pkpkpk is indeed possible for some. this fare has been around for at least months). To the inexperienced reader, they just see the consistently high prices AKL-Europe on Google Flights and would not be aware that something like this is possible without OP's post. OP is definitely doing a service to this group.

These posts take significant time to create, and OP is clearly giving of their time to help people who may need these fares. Even if finding the deals were automated (not saying that it is), simply writing the posts and taking the effort to followup and answer questions must take 10s of minutes.
We have had prolific posters in the past that have tried to funnel people through their own websites/booking channels by providing incomplete information and I find that far less noble.

The most important thing is that we should not be discouraging someone's genuine attempt at this time consuming effort.
For what it's worth I have noticed a major improvement in OP's posts towards reducing the length of each post to try to find a balance. Earlier posts had lots more screenshots with duplication requiring lots of scrolling. OP's efforts are relatively new (1 month?), and they are improving rapidly over time - this is wonderful. Nudging with constructive ideas without discouraging the effort is the most that should be needed, if that.

If a genuine effort upsets a signal to noise ratio balance, or is not in an ideal format, then we should have discussions about ideas to improve the community (clearly labeling or categorizing posts? or guidelines on what a post should be like?). The economy forum took a crack at this with the "Good deals" thread, which OP respects the purpose of and uses accordingly - not all posters do. Discussions about potential community changes don't need to be about a specific poster unless that poster's efforts are not in good faith.

$10K F prices are not deals. $3400 J fares ex-NZ are most definitely deals, especially for someone looking to position to then take advantage of the better deals available elsewhere. Great post OP - keep it up.
