EVA Air: KUL to TPE from $732 (nonstop)

While not a pure bargain, this is a great fare on a quality airline such as EVA Air from Kuala Lumpur to Taipei. These fare book into D class which earn 125% with most Star Alliance programs or 24888 miles and 200% or 8048 miles with Miles & More so useful for Lufthansa flyers.

You would have close to 9.5 hours in lie flat bliss...

Thanks for sharing. BR's TPE departure on certain days is at a friendlier 09:30, but D is harder to come by on those flights.

At almost $0.15 per mile, I don't understand in what universe this is a mileage run deal.

It's a premium fare deal. The miles are just icing on the cake.

My point is not about the miles - you can buy miles for $0.03 per mile from many programs, and even cheaper when there's a promotion.

However, my point is $0.15 per mile is a very normal premium fare yield - in order to count as a "deal" this fare would need to be more like $500 in my book.

My point is about the fare price and not about miles.

KUL-TPE in J is regularly >$1000 so $700 is a decent deal, especially on a 5 star airline such as EVA.

There were a time before COVID you can get SIN-CAN with WY for 400USD in Business with both way CD in SIN, but was discounted 5 day later due to low load factor.

Although this forum is filed under the umbrella of mileage deals, for better or worse it has come to focus on attractive fares in premium classes. Often these fares will throw up good opportunities to earn miles - but not always.
