AC: SFO-FCO $23XX RT Business

Not a crazy good deal, but surprised to see only available between SFO-FCO (at least with my brief search). Other origins and destinations are pricing higher.
Also available through Delta/ITA/AF. For Air Canada AP, an majority option also available through AC directly for C$3000.

There's a *chonky* YQ

Seems to be limited to Rome, which is really rare to see at this price. Booked for Feb, now preparing for multiple schedule/equipment changes. But still very encouraging to see this biz pricing to EU again.

With the AC fare a stopover is possible but I think only in LIS.

Looks like the price is also available on OW (AA/BA/AY at least).

United and Lufthansa are also at this price. Even with 1-stop itineraries.

Don't fly LH. Their business class product is not competitive.

Agreed. Especially the meals; AC is much better and TK is better yet with more miles!

that's a bit harsh. The LH soft product is very good.

Guess you have never suffered through a deflating seat with AC? That's not uncommon, unfortunately.
Most will earn a lot more than AC than on TK. AC earns better than TK for many programs (not all, of course). TK's product can be hit/miss.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the LH hard product in J, but the fact is that all the carriers TATL have their downsides. Personally I'm not flying all the way to IST to get to the continent, so TK is an absolute no-go.

Regardless this is a rather odd fare sale, but it's nice to see a sub-$2500 TATL fare from the west coast. It's been pretty dry for a while.

Great, could add on AARP + Chase BA discount to get the price even lower.

I've found it to be hit and miss over the last 8 months or so and have read reports of others having similar experiences. LH has lost some of its lustre - even allowing for COVID complicating matters.

I have to agree. I've flown around 8 long haul + inter-europe flights with LH over the last couple months.
The hard product is a bit upsetting since if you'll always have someone next to you (or an empty seat if lucky). The food has been lacklustre, especially on the long haul flights. The short haul meals (snacks? mini-meals?) have always, however, been pretty fun and interesting.

UA options seems to be gone. Other *A options are still available though.

That's what I did last night. SFO-LHR-FCO-LHR-FCO on all BA metal for $2014.00 in August. It's not the best cpms, but it's a decent enough deal to get to Europe for my birthday, so I'll bite.

concur. I’m a big fan of LH (also TK which I have recently enjoyed several long flights)

I hear AC biz seats are great but wont be flying AC no reason to deal with Canada post-pandemic lockdowns and horrible customer service. Thankfully not necessary here.

of course comparison of biz class is really OT but since it was raised…
