Yes you are right it's a good fare, i'm not big drinker so I don't care but a lot of people care.

Wife and I don't drink but we are currently booked on a flight from JNB to IAD using United points....this might save us some points for sure.

More like Ethiopia, country has been in a cruel civil war for over a year now. I recall Addis Ababa being close to falling in the hands of Tigrayan rebbels back in november.

Well ADD is open now with many airlines, including Ethiopian, flying in and out.

Unless tensions flair up drastically, originating out of ADD shouldn't be much of an issue.

Are you at an AA meeting? In here? You mean ON FT? What criteria do you use to first assume anyone is an alcoholic? What does shocking mean? Shockingly high, or low?

On Saudia site, it gives option to book Flex for same price. Flex (J) shows free changes/refund 2 days out and $300 for within 2 days. Has some vague thing about valid until May31, 2022 but on fare rules it doesn't show. Anyone else have have more details on fare rules?
