BA First: LHR to SFO/JFK from £1959

British Airways has placed their First Class cabins on sale at a rate that while not groundbreaking is definitely interesting for travel ex-London to North America.

Selected dates in 2022 when we hope that service levels are back to normal. FYI... SFO is still listed as an Airbus 380 route.

London to San Francisco!

London to New York

Can start / end in other UK cities for even cheaper. Found EDI, GLA, and BHD.

Believe this would earn 34702 EQM and 57170 RDM for Alaska Gold 75K.

What a shame that the folks who were aware of it didn’t bother posting it on here for those who don’t read all the blogs.

Can anyone list the fare rules for this or let me know where I can find the complete fare rules?

I saw this yesterday and shared today, ex-LHR in F for under 2000 GBP sounds like a good deal, especially to the West Coast.
We are a community here at FT (and even if I have a side "blog") content wants to be free and shared so please post when you see deals on other sites , blogs or general searches....

Seems like a great fare to rack up a bunch of AS miles. A fare should earn 450% RDMs.

Agreed! Would love to do this fare far out when things change with COVID and vaccinated travel. It looks like the change free is 150 pounds each direction to cancel. I'm afraid to book out that fare and have to change plans. :-(

Also it looks like the Chase 10% doesn't apply since the flight doesn't originate in the US. Also AARP pricing looks to be the same or even more. Didn't know if anyone found anything different.

wish it's that easy to find out when Americans can come over to UK without silly restrictions but bet UK / US will work it out something since we are doing well on vaccination part.

crawl over to EF to check on routing rules for this fare

As a Brit soon to be moving to the US, I'm a complete noob to a lot of these terms. What's EQM and RDM? Is Alaska Gold 75k worth it?

These flights look really juicy and I will definitely need to travel for work/family on this route.

Thanks!

Alaska 75 is the current highest level within AS, soon to be added a new 100k to align with AA.
You would get upgrades on AS and AA (can't remember the exact details) and unlike other carriers you earn miles and status based on distance and not spend.
AA currently rewards Premium Travel so this fare would earn some 350% RDMs (Redeemable miles or Award miles) even as a base flyer. EQMs are Elite Qualifying Miles which is what you need to obtain status.
