JL: JFK - SIN Y+ $860 (Amex IAP only)

Was tempted to buy the SQ deal so wanted to check if IAP had a discount, and wow I don't think I've ever seen JL Y+ so cheap before. Nice thing about JL is they offer access to solid Sakura lounge on Y+ fares at HND.

Covid caveats etc.

Also sorry if posting IAP fares aren't allowed here but for those who have plat power to you

does platinum site inflate prices?

surprisingly, when I use the american express travel site as a guest with no status it reveals the same flites ticketed on american airlines for $1.013 but japan airlines is the operator. So being new as a platinum to me sounds a little disingenuous for prices posted on the platinum site.

Comparing codeshares is really apples to oranges here

If crediting to AA, almost always JL will be better in terms of mileage and EQD

If crediting to AS, before they join OW only marketed and operated by same carrier earns miles

also, I’m fairly certain you don’t get Sakura lounge access on AA code

thanks for the update. The Sakura Lounge would be a definite plus.

Is this dead or am I doing something wrong? Pricing $1,xxx on AA codeshare but $2,7xx on JL.

Check fare rules above. What’re the dates you’re looking at because I still see the fare

Thank you. Will try again. I have checked 4/6 and when that didn't work out, the same departure in the OP.

I tried again. It would not show. But, encouraged by your confirmation that you are seeing the fare, I did an advanced search and forced JL as the airline and the fare appears. Thanks a bunch.

Any chance these fares are upgradable? I didn't see anything in the rules...

Given the fare class, would folks here recommend I credit to BA or AA? I am currently Silver on BA and that is the only airline where I have status on OW. Status ends just before the trip and the travel will be at the start of my next points collection year on BA.

Looks like AmEx is crediting $200 for plat usage on AmEx Travel. This could end up $660. Better than the 2019 price that was a little over $700.

Anyone know if it's possible to do turnaround at SIN for Americans? Seems no but thought i'd ask!
