AA Prem Econ SMF/SFO to SCL for $1200

I’m not sure how good a fare this really is but when I saw it, it was good enough to get me to book it

SMF-DFW-SCL for $1230ish, some dates lower...widely available

787 PE on the international flight

SFO also worked at the same price

no extra bonus discount on Amex that I could find

Amex Travel having issues booking these. Sigh. Would have saved a bit of money.

Yeah, I only saw IAP options on DL/LA, but the price was $1000 higher, so AA it is...redeye flight (so who cares about the soft product) in a well pitched seat for the ~normal price of coach ex-SMF, I'll take it w/o too much complaining.

What's the best place to credit this fare? I'm AS MVP and AA Plat

Also, similar fare (or 50 or more cheaper) available if you do open-jaw fly into SCL and fly out of EZE or vice-versa.

AS isn’t really an AA partner anymore so AA likely your best bet.

The fare seems to book into P for the international segment, which if you fly before March 1st 2020, credits to AS at 100% or credits to AA based on price (unless there's a way to book it as a bulk fare).

DFW to SCL is 9800 miles roundtrip, so you'd get
9800 / 14700 / 19600 / 22050 RDM for those segments with Alaska for no status/MVP/MVPG/75K.

Miami to SCL is 8300 miles roundtrip, so scale that accordingly.

The AA fare portion seems to be about 1150 for the tickets I saw, so you'd get between 5750 - 12650 RDM on American depending on your status. I believe plat would give you about 9200.

So Alaska is way more lucrative if you're planning on doing it in the next couple weeks.
