720 on the routing posted above, but if you can force a stop in JFK as well this would go up to 1000.

It looks like the fares from the AY gateways (e.g. JFK) have different routing rules from those that are not (e.g. BOS). Starting in JFK does not allow domestic connections but allows unlimited connections in DUB/LON/MAN/PAR on flights with AY codes. Starting in BOS costs more ($3400), but allows unlimited connections in CHI/LAX/MIA/NYC/SFO. However, the transcon flights don't seem to be bookable with AY codes, only AA codes, which will affect your EQD earning on those segments; AA will basically assign you an arbitrary number that will probably be lower than 0.25 * distance that you are getting for the AY flights.

Unfortunately, there really are not very many good mileage run routings for this fare because there seem to be a lot of long connections. Note that a stopover in HEL is free if you want to break up the trip.

If you are searching on ITA Matrix, from a non-gateway city (e.g. BOS-SIN) try the advanced routing code aa,ay+ ay hel ay hkg, bkk? on the way out and hkg, bkk? ay hel ay aa,ay+ on the return.

AARP and CHASE discount only works on BA metal flights. OP's routing includes AA metal flights for domestic portion. What routing are you seeing for $2749?

I checked on AA and it’s indicated only 39,448 in EQM?
DFW -> MAA in “I” for $3000 in March.

YQ on this trip ~$1000, not bad for BA.

26192 miles

Ticketed on BA earns 52k EQM, 6548EQD

Sunday turnaround allows true MR.

Can apply as late as 4 days before travel.
US citizens can get 5 year evisa now for $80. Great change.

Discount business class (C/D/I/R) earns 2x EQM/mile on AA and BA, your math appears based on 1.5x a ~13,000 mile one-way trip.

How many miles if credited to Alaska mileage plan (I'm MVP so I'm assuming will get some extra bonus miles)? Thanks in advance

You will likely get zero for AA operated domestic flights unless they have an AS flight number as well. AS will NOT credit international AA flights after 2/29/20.

You must fly on a BA transatlantic and BA to MAA and those flights will earn 250% of base according to the chart here:

https://www.alaskaair.com/content/mi...ritish-airways

The availability for AS/BA isn’t as good but here’s an itinerary that Matrix returns for a 0-night stay

My family got approval within 24 hours - filled the forms at 3 in the afternoon and by the time we woke up next day, we had emails as approved. Usually 2 business days according to embassy.

Someone asked about TP for BAEC. On some dates you can route DFW-LAX-BOS/PHL-LHR-MAA which makes the whole trip 920 TP at £2,461 or £2.68/TP. This gets BAEC silver and 60% of the way to gold, so another way to get OW Sapphire status.

Aladdinsfolly's answer is correct but didn't touch the MVP bonus. You will get the MVP bonus on the BA coded and operated flights.
