OSL-JFK TAP J US$1181 Return

Anyone looking to book a cheap SA flight from Europe to NYC might be interested in this TAP J fare for US$1181 return. Sporadic availability from November until July 2020.
The flight is via LIS and the LIS-JFK leg is on the new-ish Airbus A330-900neo with 1-2-1 config.

TAP also flies to EWR with the A330NEO, it's available from SEPT on for about the same price, but it comes with a long layover in LIS in both directions.

Many existing threads on these standard TAP fares...

OSL, ARN, CPH, DUB are also useful starting points. Most TAP North American destinations can be found.

Cheapest fares tend to involve an overnight stay in LIS.

Stopovers are also allowed: 2 STOPOVERS PERMITTED ON THE PRICING UNIT
LIMITED TO 1 FREE AND 1 AT EUR 75.00.

Could work well if you planning to spend a few days in LIS

That is not completely right. You can fly from the US to Europe as well starting at around 1790$, OTA price.
You have to buy 2 one way tickets and not 1 return ticket to get that price.

Rules are the same as above.

I wrote about that "deal" some times ago on my blog already.

Here is the link to my blog with a few examples Premium-Flights.com

You can find that by your self if you look for oneway tickets on Google Flight..

Here a sample Link:
NYC - CPH 1220$ one way GoogleFlight
Cheaper via OTA. More cities in Europe available, like Frankfurt, Oslo and more..

OSL-NYC 648$ one way GoogleFlight, again cheaper via OTA.

And note the airline no longer provides accommodation to business-class passengers forced (by the schedule) to overnight in Lisbon.

Tha could easily add a couple of hundred dollars to the fare, depending on the level of comfort and sustenance you require..

Give us a hint? Do we need to search for another point of departure or another destination (or both) ?
