Fare basis O6LSHU, since it books into O be wary for accrual purposes. GF into AF/KL website. Possible to route via HKG with extra leg on CI A330 for ~$26 more per way.

AF/KL continue to play silly games with their O inventory, but guess what, this time you can have MU metal for a change! $1,368 BUD-PVG return. Naturally the extra CDG-AMS segments can be had for <$15 each way.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but once I click through it shows up as KL or AF codes and then on the KLM site it shows up as O fare. SkyTeam (at least Delta) operates on the Marketing Code for credit, so even if MU metal it would credit as AF/KL O class and zilch miles...

For DL earnings --
My BUD-CTU O fare ticket last summer was
KL coded BUD-AMS-BUD with a Z fare and earned miles.
AMS-PEK was KL coded CZ operated with O fare and earned no miles.
PEK-CTU was CZ coded and operated with O fare and no miles.
CTU-AMS was KL coded and operated with O fare and no miles.
The MU earnings chart doesn't list O as an earning class for DL.

Thanks for the update! Too bad I booked the same itinerary on QR for a couple hundred euros more... At that time QR and AF/KL we're almost the same price, but not anymore... Well...I am still happy to try the qsuite on the DOH-HKG legs 😄

It seems like LOT + Asiana / EVA do have similar if not the same prices. Nice for XP but too bad for FB miles. I guess stopover in HKG is not permitted?
TPE-HKG can also be on CX metal.
