I have just purchased this . Can miss last leg and jump off at LHR . Books into I 225% on Alaskan

Thanks I was hoping for a Qatar special fare, but this is great and as it earns AA EQD's at 25% rather than 20% for Qatar in class R, it is a no brainer.

OP thanks for the heads up. I booked one for October.

In case anyone else finds this interesting: switching in syd as the destination on that Google flights links brings up a Qatar option for not too much more ($2758).

Sq have $2750 USD all year from Stockholm to Akl booking into D wide availability. The Cathay deal has the benefit from anyone re-positioning from LHR that the return leg is via LHR and the last segment can be missed (subject to baggage requirements)

Unfortunate it’s cheaper to have an Air NZ leg on the AKL-HKG rtn leg vs CX the whole way.

So it is possiable to drop the return LHR - GOT leg and not effect millage earnings from an incomplete journey?

I think mileage is based on sectors completed .They are separate flight numbers.

I flew this route a few times last year, sadly I have not been able to find CX tickets and have booked SQ for $2450 instead. I have found that you must use Cathay site direct and use incognito to get cheaper flights. The Cathay flights from Got are dead as Cathy are using LH to Frankfurt instead of BA via LHR.
