So need to go and be in LAS on october 1st (oneworld preferable) from AMS, but can't seem to find a "normal" price. But need to share this one :-).

Hope this will help someone and Oneworld will start a sale soon!!!

great fare OP. I saw that all fares are with US gateway (with DL and VS). I was trying to make it work via AMS, with KLM, (so that I may miss the last leg back to LON). But not possible.

not bad at all. as others have said, i priced up YUL, YYZ, and ORD as options at around 1100 with VS on the main leg connecting at LHR-JFK.
not sure whether miles earned for VS programme would be less if I paid through DL (i.e. Delta marketed codes). I have a couple of vouchers that I'd like to use to bring down the price, which are probably limited to the delta site.

Would be nice as more useful to my earnings/membership. I just returned from a long-haul trip on Delta swearing "never again". Amongst my complaints:
- Curt counter service at JFK and in Europe
- Very poor quality food
- Cramped feeling J cabin in Long Island Railroad colour scheme (and nothing to put on top of the seat when sleeping)
- JFK lounge that continued the rail theme with its Grand Central atmosphere (and food served on paper plates with cheap plastic cutlery)
- Poor comms about flight delays and lost baggage
Overall I left feeling this was far from a "premium" product or experience. If I took this fare I'd only go for VS operated long-haul legs, but I'm wondering if the A340 interiors have been updated since January or if they're just waiting out the 787 situation.
