This is deserves more love
I booked two LAX-PEK rt's on consecutive weekends in Sept on MU for $1468 rt. Departing at 1:05am on a Friday and returning at about 5pm on a Monday, I need Delta MQD's and this earns MQD's of 40% flown miles. 200% RDM's in Delta Skymiles ain't shabby either.
The fares classes seem to be I over the ocean and either J or F on the short PVG-PEK leg. Booked on Orbitz. Oddly, China Eastern's own website does not cough up the cheap fare. Appears bookable in August, most of September, and a little in the first week of October. I don't recommend traveling in China anytime from Sept 29 through the first week of October because that is Golden Week. The whole country vacations that week!
Mods, you really need to add "MU" to the title because they matched CA.

Is a 90 minutes layover in PVG enough?
On my two MU bookings, I have a 90 min layover in PVG flying PEK to PVG to LAX. No checked luggage.
Is that enough time?

LAX-(PVG)-PEK on MU in biz class for $1254
As in ridiculously good, of course! I paid $1468 for two round trips two days ago.
Now my two trips are $1254 each. Dates are Sept 14-17 and Sept 21-24.
Easily bookable by clicking thru to Orbitz or Expedia from Google flights.
Oddly enough, not bookable on China Eastern's own website.
This is especially good for Delta flyers. It should yield full MQM's, MQD's equal to 40% of flown miles, and RDM's of 200% of miles flown.
Mods may want to split this off of the original CA SHA thread.
