Note their new 787 J class seat looks significantly worse then their new A380 and current A350 seats.

Damn... I was hopeful to try to tack this onto my 2 week Asia itinerary but the dates that I'm going to be there coincide with the blackout period :/

You can always 'miss' your return flight.

Worse than their own long haul product for sure, but given that they are all aisle access lie flats they are better than the old SQ regional products and even the long haul product of many mainstream airlines!

SQ currently operates A330 on the SIN-KIX route, which are the regional J seats 2-2-2. So the J seat on 787-10 is significantly better than what's currently offered.

Thanks for the tips about seats. I flew SQ and CX before with their mediocre regional biz seats. Horrible!!!

Horrible? Really? Haven't flown CX but SQ A330's angled flat seat is really comfortable and well made. I think it's quite fantastic for short/medium haul (slept really well on an overnight flight).

I haven't tried SQ regional J (though from pics it doesn't look any promising taking into account that regional could be 6-7-8 hours), but CX regional J is horrible. It's the evil mix between a simple recliner and a slippery slope angle flat. It's not remotely flat, but you keep sliding down . Doubling with pathetic regional J catering I was really disappointed.

D earns 200% for non-elite members. Gold 75Ks (quite a few around here) get another 125%, so 325% in total.
