The question on the table is whether that is really true. The rules say it is, and I've been operating as if it is, but it would be nice if someone has flown an MU flight credited to DL since 1/1 and can verify.

MU with a discounted Business fare gives you the biggest bang (of SkyTeam) for your buck at 40% or even 20% for many coach fares. The one thing you must watch though is to make sure your fare class is listed, if not listed zero miles or anything.
THese are my transcribed numbers ,so check online at Delta to confirm:

Both are used on the PVG-MAD sector. Most of the time it is the 1-2-1 configuration. You can check the configuration on Seat Alerts or find the flight on Expedia/Orbitz and use the preview availability option to see seating. MU does sometimes swap the plane a day or two before departure though.

Do you mind linking to this. I think I've installed a script from FT RE: ITA but none of the links off the script give me the same price. I can find ~1100 USD price on ITA but the best I can do via OTA is ~1600 via Momondo.

You're replying on a fare which was many months ago. To find out if it is still available, just use any ITA or Google Flights or matrix to see availability. Probably not (but I didn't check).
