Not sure if this is a good deal, but I was able to find plenty of availabilities during Christmas week.
EWR-BCN: UA
BCN-ZRH-EWR: Swiss
in P class, 16650PQM, $2037. You may be able to make a nice christmas vacation out to it.

Decent availability on AA/BA too at same price. Can come back in Jan too, even for a long weekend over New Years. Most itineraries require transit in LHR on the return though (no I inventory on the nonstops in early Jan. Also saw some DL itineraries, although at least one had the return on Air Europa via MAD with supposedly angle flats on MAD-JFK.
And of course can book via BA with AARP discount for $200 off, so ~$1850 r/t but you lose some RDMs/EQMs on BA marketed flights vs AA.
