Think the fare basis has been around for awhile but it's been priced slightly higher, and the value proposition was less with DL/9W/KL in the mix. Prices out correctly on AF website.

That’s nothing. On Sunday I purchased DCA-RDU-MCO-BFS-MCO-ATL-IAD on a VS ticket with fare bases OH1X87M1 (outbound) and OL1J97M3 (inbound), base fare was filed at $1, fuel surcharges $204, and taxes and fees $107 for a total of $312, which is >99.5% taxes and carrier imposed surcharges.
