Not best price but still a good option:
MOW-TYO or SEL-MOW USD 1,100 RT.
MOW-SEL is USD 1,400 though (that what i would be interested at)...
Books to A on long haul and J on short haul.
The point is that AZ messed up the rules and allowed MOW-Italy to be booked on SU codeshares that has proper J (US domestic F with better food and service).
Miles to Etihad is the best choice probably, though Skyteam programs will earn something too as the metal is from their team.
Stopover in Italy at the cost of extra airport tax.
PS: May ticket on DL (there is no EY metal)

If you are based in SEL or around here are more AZ PE specials for you:
SEL-Italy-AUH USD 1,500- with Italy-AUH in business (operated by EY, booked into J). Unfortunately no stopovers (unless you are willing to pay USD 500 more to get a flex A fare).
SEL-Italy-JNB USD 1,500+ with Italy-JNB in business (operated by AZ, books into E). Again no stopovers.
Don't book beyond Government guaranteed dates (no idea what are they now) or book via Delta or others if permit.
Adding MIL-ROM or vv leg is possible at the cost of extra taxes.

The business class fares ex SEL are around same level all European destinations AZ flies/ codeshares to. But flying a 'plain' business fare lacks the charm of flying a bug fare like the ones posted above

Slightly OT but it seems that those 3 Alitalia’s A321neo (soon to join the fleet, all with dedicated business class cabin/proper seats, they’re currently getting repainted at Newquay) will also be deployed on some of the SVO services (TLV being the other most likely ‘candidate’), which means that we should finally have a decent business class product on those AZ operated services as well.

We could just go jetting around the world at a pretty reasonable price, collecting miles, requalifying and enjoying it all! Aah, if only I had the time.
