I believe this is in response to British Airways planned sale starting soon. From their team...

"BRITISH AIRWAYS LAUNCHES SPECIAL BUSINESS CLASS COMPANION FARES FOR TRAVEL TO LONDON

New York, May 18 - - British Airways has launched a Club World business class companion sale, offering two roundtrip tickets between New York (JFK or Newark) and London for $4535, including all taxes, fees and carrier charges. This offer is valid for purchase until May 21, 2017 11:59pm EST and customers can travel between Jul. 1 to Sept. 10, 2017. Special companion fares are available from all British Airways US gateways to London".

Couldn't they all have gone an extra $500-$1000 lower? I mean...

Mind if I ask what dates you're using? I just searched MIA-LHR and found a fare close to the $2266 one, but it's on AV and has a truly bizarre routing via Medellin and Bogota!

I'm seeing some business class prices around $2200 from Phoenix to several locations in Spain, MAD, BCN, BIO through much of 2017, so this sale appears to extend beyond LHR for SkyTeam.

Do the DL fares require that two people travel together?

Great fare. Anyone found this price wider? When clicking on Google Flights RDU initially displays the higher 4200 fare, but after selecting outbound the price was dropping. $1700 is about as well as we do these days, minus the occasional wonder...

Now is the had part trying to convince the GF for the go ahead. We've got a $900 Delta credit too but just got back from an expensive trip to JTR but net $1300/person is insane value and it's over NYE

Shame you can't fly Virgin codeshare. Did NYE in UC on Virgin once and toasted as we passed each time zone at midnight. Memorable!
