TG: ICN to BKK 524 € -books in J 200% MM
Seems Thai Airways is having a sale - they offer ICN to HKG but if you price ICN to BKK miles are much better.

Not sure how to get rid of the long layover in TPE though.

You can't get rid of the TPE layover, because your link is for JRLA1KR ICN-TPE fare with a stopover in BKK

Base fares are:

ICN-BKK 475000 KRW
ICN-HKG 335000 KRW
ICN-TPE 300000 KRW

The last two allow free stopover in BKK ^

Thanks OP and #2. Great findings.

GF shows r/t ICN-BKK-TPE around $600 but TG website doesn't allow me to choose this route.
They only shows ICN-TPE direct flight.

Work your way through TG's multiple destination booking procedure. The GF link should throw you into it; but if it doesn't, just start the process yourself.

Works with a stopover in Bangkok both ways:

ICN-(HKG)-BKK (stop)-TPE (dest)-BKK (stop)-(HKG)-ICN

Is there anyway to get one leg of this to price in first class?
Would like to do ICN-BKK in J then BKK-HKG in F, but it doesn't come up as possible on ITA matrix.

it seems gone for routing via BKK.
ICN - TPE direct flight is still alive around 550USD
